Context

The Charlotte Hornets commissioned Call of the Swarm as a homecoming arena opener—a first-run moment in front of a full stadium crowd.

Strategy

Turn the Hornets’ homecoming into a stadium-scale rallying cry. Call of the Swarm cast the players as giant Hornets calling the city and fans back to the arena — a bold, high-energy opener designed to land fast, loud, and clear under tight time and budget constraints.

Solution

Liberati worked with a rough sketch animatic from film references to quickly establish pacing, structure, and shot timing. Once approved, the temp cut became the production blueprint, with shots replaced by final renders.
